![]() Samsung tech assures me the monitor should work fine with HDMI so my problem could be wrong driver for monitor (working on that) HDMI cable (tried several different ones) HP adapter (don't have another one to try) HP Z Book display port Nvidia card. My "display chain" is HP Z Book 15 output from Nvidia card through ZBook display port through HP "display port to HDMI" adapter through HDMI 1.4 cable into Samsung P2770HD monitor. All programs are not as sharp as they should be with HDMI connection, MC just is unique in that text seems to have reversed white/black.Īlthough just asking this forum for thoughts on MC settings, overall what I am trying to do is eliminate things in the "display chain" that could be cause of my problem. I was just asking if there could be some "setting" I might have inadvertently set in MC to cause it to display in a way that looks different from other programs displayed. ![]() Thoughts/suggestions appreciated, Dennisīy the way, I do not think my problem is related to Avid driver I installed, I just mentioned driver I had installed as part of information. I installed the Nvidia driver that came loaded with MC8.6 download (362.13). I am troubleshooting HDMI problem with hardware I can change out (HDMI cables, etc but don't have spare display port/HDMI adapter or spare video card) but reagrding particularly bad display of MC8.6 I wonder if there could be some setting in MC8.6 that I got wrong to display such a bad MC picture as mentioned above? Then tried VGA output connection to VGA on monitor and home screen picture looks like expected for VGA output and MC8.6 display usable as expected from VGA output (info text for MC-bin id, menu items, etc looks "normal" in MC). When connected via HDMI cable home screen display is "fuzzy" (resolution set to 1920X1080) but MC8.6 looks horrible like white/black are reversed on text and poor resolution. Installed MC8.6 using "factory" settings. Now hooked up Z Book15, win7 pro 64 bit, Nvidia K2100M to same monitor (used HP adapter allowing display port to output HDMI 1.4 port of monitor). Previoiusly running MC7, PC, WIN 7 pro 64 bit connected via DVI-D to Samsung P2770HD 27 inch TV/monitor combination and Avid displayed great (good resolution at 1920X1080 setting). Trying to troubleshoot monitor display problem and wondering if my MC8.6 settings could be part of problem.
